Browser Preferences

Selected catalog cities, favorites, 12/24-hour format, weather units and star-motion preferences can be stored in this browser. The clock does not upload them. Clear them with your browser’s site-data controls.

Necessary Utility Requests

TimeNow’s host, Cloudflare, processes network requests to serve pages and check server time. Its request metadata may provide an approximate city and time zone. TimeNow returns only the location fields needed by the clock, with a private, noncached response; the endpoint does not send your IP address to the browser.

Browser-coordinate lookup and weather are disabled in this release. No permission is requested and no weather provider is contacted. Approximate network location remains optional: choose a city to override it. Read Cloudflare’s privacy notice.

The application does not deliberately log coordinates, credentials or visitor addresses; hosting providers may maintain their own operational logs. The separately prepared weather integration remains inactive.

Optional Statistics

Aggregate measurement is disabled. If the operator separately enables it, collection requires your affirmative choice and honors supported Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Its allowed data is a fixed event category, approved page route, source category, medium and campaign code; it does not include private coordinates or full URLs. Counts are events, not unique people.

Optional measurement is off.

Sharing & Embeds

Sharing happens only when requested. Catalog-city links contain no private coordinates. Conversion links include the chosen catalog cities, date, time and repeated-time occurrence. Do not include private meeting details. Embedded clocks request files and server time from TimeNow and link to the selected city.

Advertising

No advertising scripts are active. Any future advertising or additional collection requires an updated notice and the operator’s separate approval and configuration.

Worldwide Search

Search downloads small name-index portions from TimeNow hosting only after you search or open a shared place. No GeoNames API is contacted. Public reference locations may be saved with favorites in your browser; shared links contain the public GeoNames record ID, not visitor coordinates. Cloudflare may record necessary file requests in operational logs.
